It’s worth noting this is not the debut of the show on Tooniverse as the channel did begin airing the show on October 19th last year, albeit in Japanese with subtitles.
Luckily for fans that prefer to watch a show in its original language subtitled airings are still scheduled for 1am on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Moreover the Daima dub features a dubbed version of the OP, which appears to be a rarity for some anime dubs these days. Traditionally English Dragon Ball dubs have had dubbed OPs, but that was not the case for Crunchyroll’s dub of Dragon Ball Daima.
This is one day later than expected, but nonetheless great news considering the long history Dragon Ball has had, especially with dubs in South Korea.
Further new episodes are scheduled for April 25th at 6am, and as of now it seems safe to assume the next batch will be 34-36, the week after 37-39 and so on.
In any case this is great news for Danish Dragon Ball fans who may have been waiting nearly 20 years for a dub in their language.
Ever since the release of Box 1 on November 30, 2022 Dragon Ball fans have been able to enjoy the best official release of the original series thus far, but it appears that the long hope for a Box 2 is coming to an end.
It has now been reported that numerous sources, including some from France have confirmed that AB Video will no longer be continuing their Blu-Ray releases of the original Dragon Ball.
This is unfortunate, as there had been various reports that gave fans hope that AB were not giving up on the second volume.
Nonetheless for years the question about when this would be released remained unanswered, and as expected AB Video could not confirm anything that was yet to be scheduled for a release date.
Two months later, according to one comment on Youtube a source close to AB confirmed that the conception of Box 2 posed a problem because TOEI were very nitpicky.
Now it seems that the long awaited follow-up to the much loved Dragon Ball Blu-Ray set will not be coming because AB finally got fed up of dealing with TOEI and didn’t want to use upscales.
Contrary to popular belief the Blu-Rays were not cancelled because of AB’s decision to use the broadcast audio, but simply because they wanted to go above and beyond to make this release the best it could possibly be.
The rerun of Dragon Ball Super on Cartoon Network Pakistan, which began on March 3rd this month has finally led in to new episodes.
The channel has been airing 5 new episodes a week every day from Monday to Friday.
As of yesterday episodes 66-70 were aired, meaning the Future Trunks arc has finally aired in full and the channel has broadcast the finale of that arc.
Assuming the current airing pattern continues Dragon Ball Super should reach its conclusion with the final episodes airing on May 8th.
This is great news for fans that have had to wait patiently after the long break.
In a recent post on the Kanzenshuu forum user HinKyto shares an email from Danmarks Radio (DR) in response to a query about the upcoming episodes.
While no number was specified for how many of the 49 newly licensed episodes would premier DR did confirm that they would start to release the new episodes on April 11th and further episodes would follow “over time”.
While the gap between episodes has not been confirmed it can be speculated based on another TOEI property DR recently licensed.
As we reported previously the first 30 episodes of One Piece were licensed and then smaller batches of episodes followed (31-45, 46-53, 54-61), so assuming a similar pattern batches of 7-15 episodes of Dragon Ball Super could be released a few weeks apart.
As episodes 28-41 cover the Universe 6 arc of Dragon Ball Super that could be a likely contender for the batch of episodes coming April 11th. After that is anyone’s guess with the Copy Vegeta arc lasting 5 episodes and the Future Trunks arc standing at 30.
While Japanese Dragon Ball fans have been used to the recent TV series like Kai and Super being released in glorious HD the new Dragon Ball Daima anime is receiving even greater treatment with the series becoming the second piece of content in the franchise and the first TV anime to be released on the current premium format 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray.

There is no news as of yet for international home releases, but expect them for territories like North America, Oceania, the UK, France, Germany and other countries which have received a lot of Dragon Ball home releases throughout the past few decades.

As we reported previously today on March 1st the 14th Dragon Ball Z movie Battle of Gods will be screening at a Cinestar theatre at Prishtina Mall in Kosovo.
