Taiwanese fans can now stream Dragon Ball Daima on another platform

The ever knowledgeable fan of Dragon Ball in Chinese territories tinlunlau has noted another streaming service where Dragon Ball Daima is now available.

As we can see Dragon Ball Daima can now be viewed on myvideo.net.tw, a Taiwanese streaming service.

As the series was also released on Viu TV, Macau is the last remaining special administrative region to not be streaming Dragon Ball Daima on a local platform and mainland China has not been confirmed.

The series is currently streaming across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia on Crunchyroll, and it is expected to be brought to most of Asia on Netflix tomorrow.

Netflix is not available in mainland China, North Korea or Syria, so Daima’s release in these territories, if any is not yet known.

Cartoon Network India cancels premier of Battle of Gods

As today’s schedules have shown aired from 11:15am-1:30pm, meaning the previously announced time of 12:15pm, which Battle of Gods was set to premier on has been occupied.

The following timeslots for original Dragon Ball (for which the Red Ribbon Army arc premiered last week) remained unchanged.

In terms of where Cartoon Network India is at with original Dragon Ball, Episodes 34-38 aired today.

It is not known why the Indian premier of Battle of Gods was unexpectedly cancelled, or when it will now be released, although we will report on it when and if there is further updates on the matter.

Viu TV streams Chinese sub of Dragon Ball Daima

Recently tinlunlau reported on Kanzenshuu that Dragon Ball Daima has also dropped on Viu TV, a Hong Kong-based channel which runs its own streaming service and teased the show.

On the same day (October 11th) Viu TV began streaming Dragon Ball Daima it was available on Crunchyroll, on Monday it will be released throughout Asia on Netflix, but Viu TV offers Hong Kong viewers a way of watching the show for free with the ad supported plan.

The previous TV anime Dragon Ball Super was available on Viu TV and another local streaming service named Now-E dubbed in Cantonese.

The show is only available to Hong Kong viewers with Chinese subs, but as all Dragon Ball series since the original received dubs in Hong Kong and Taiwan (and the original Dragon Ball got a dub in mainland China) it is likely that a Cantonese and Mandarin dub will follow at some point.

Piccolo Junior arc to air on AniBox tomorrow

A little less than two months ago the Piccolo Daimaō arc began airing with its new Korean dub on AniBox.

Recent scheduling updates have confirmed the premier of episode 123 with the new dub as airing tomorrow (October 5th), which will mark the beginning of the Piccolo Junior or 23rd Tenkaichi Budōkai arc of original Dragon Ball.

Dragon Ball originally premiered in South Korea in the 1980s with the original Korean dub. It also aired on Champ TV.

The original series hasn’t aired for a long time before this rerun with the new dub however.

Dragon Ball Red Ribbon Army arc set to air on Cartoon Network India

Following on from the conclusion of the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai arc last Sunday, Cartoon Network India is set to begin airing the Red Ribbon Army arc.

As was the case with the previous arc the channel is marketing it as a “new season” in its latest promo.

Showcasing some punches and kicks from Goku, and one scene where a wall smashes Cartoon Network is highlighting the escalating action in this story arc.

According to this promo the new arc is set to begin tomorrow at 2pm, although current schedules suggest a 1:30pm start time.

As such it is possible from 1:30-2pm episode 28, which aired last Sunday will be rerun followed by episode 29.

Similarly episode 13 premiered with the new Indian dubs on September 8th and was rerun on September 15th followed by episodes 14-18.

So we can probably expect episodes 28-33 to air tomorrow with the new Hindi dubs, and first known dubs of original Dragon Ball in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

There may be less episodes next week with Battle of Gods set to premier for the first time in India, but original Dragon Ball is evidently doing well as weekday timeslots have been added, likely for reruns, which inspires a lot of confidence in its continued success.

Tooniverse to begin airing Dragon Ball Daima with subs in South Korea on October 19th

It has been confirmed that Dragon Ball Daima will begin airing on Tooniverse in South Korea from October 19th at 10pm.

Tooniverse will become the second traditional TV channel to air Dragon Ball Daima, after Mangas airs it in France four days prior, interestingly both cases will be a broadcast of the Japanese version with local subs, rather than a dub.

This is not the first time a Dragon Ball series has been shown on Tooniverse, as they aired the Champ TV dub up until the Freeza arc in Dragon Ball Z before begin airing their own dub from Garlic Junior onward.

Whether Tooniverse will create their own dub of Dragon Ball Daima remains to be seen.

Korean fans wanting their fix of classic Dragon Ball content can still watch the original series on AniBox, which airs four episodes every Sunday from 8pm-10pm.

Dragon Ball’s 21st Tenkaichi Budokai arc concludes on Cartoon Network India

Earlier this month Cartoon Network promoted the first tournament story arc (the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai) with terms such as “New Challenges”, “New Adventures” and “New Battles”.

Today the first major action-packed story arc wrapped up with the broadcast of episode 28.

Dragon Ball airs every Sunday from 1:30-3:45pm, and from this Tuesday it will receive a new weekday timeslot from 9-10pm.

The episodes recently aired have been labelled as “Season 2”, likely to emphasize being a part of the second major story arc. Whether this will be a continued trend for the coming arcs remains to be seen.

In any case viewers should expect to see the Red Ribbon Army arc premier next Sunday, and the week after that Battle of Gods will make its long awaited Indian debut.

Every Dragon Ball series, TV special and movie aired on Cartoon Network India will receive five regional dubs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

The Hiroki Takahashi insert song Mezase Tenkaichi was removed in all of these dubs.

Exciting times for India Dragon Ball fans are ahead.

Cartoon Network India adds weekday timeslots for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Super

Cartoon Network India has announced on their social media that they will begin airing original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Super at 9pm and 10pm timeslots respectively Mondays-Fridays.

The shows will begin airing from these timeslots on October 1st, as announced on Instagram.

The channel is currently airing original Dragon Ball from 1:30pm-3:45pm every Sunday, and tomorrow the Red Ribbon Army arc will begin.

Dragon Ball Super has aired in its entirety on Cartoon Network India a few times since its debut in 2017, but this new timeslot should give fans who missed it a chance to catch up.

Sanchit Wartak confirmed as the voice of future Gohan in the Hindi dub of Dragon Ball Z: History of Trunks

Following the long awaited premier of History of Trunks on Cartoon Network India last Sunday the voice actor for future Gohan in the Hindi dub has been revealed.

As reported by two sources on Instagram Sanchit Wartak, who played the character in both the Hindi dub of Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, the movies Broly – Second Coming, Fusion Reborn, Wrath of the Dragon, and Super Hero will be reprising his role.

Cartoon Network India is currently airing original Dragon Ball from 1:30pm to 3:45pm every Sunday with a Dragon Ball Z movie or TV special airing every couple of weeks just before it.

This week there is no movie or TV special, but instead the channel will air 6 episodes of Dragon Ball. Online imagery uses Dragon Ball Super art, but likely only because this is what fans are used to, as the TV guides appropriately list “Dragon Ball” for the aforementioned timeslots.

Dragon Ball Z : Battle of Gods finally coming to India on Cartoon Network

Toons Anime India has just shared a promo from Cartoon Network India, which confirms that in less than a month, the first Dragon Ball movie of the revival era – Battle of Gods (or The Battle of Gods as it will seemingly be referred to natively) will be coming.

The last Dragon Ball movie to premier on the channel was Wrath of the Dragon, which premiered on September 3rd last year and was rerun two weeks later.

The channel has however broadcast additional features (albeit not movies) with the recent airings of Bardock : The Father of Goku and History of Trunks.

As was the case with the TV specials Battle of Gods will be marketed as a “blockbuster” to generate hype.

The channel is currently airing original Dragon Ball at 2pm on Sundays. Episodes 13-18 aired yesterday and episodes 19-24 are set to air this week just after the premier of History of Trunks.

As is now standard with all Dragon Ball content aired on Cartoon Network India, Battle of Gods will receive five dubs in different languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Uttam Pal Singh, the head of the kids cluster in South Asia for Warner Brothers Discovery (the owner of Cartoon Network India) said he wishes for the channel to be the place for the movies of the season, so it is possible after Battle of Gods the channel will dub the other revival era movies Resurrection ‘F’, Broly and Super Hero.
