The admin of the Dragon Ball – DK Facebook group has reported Danmarks Radio (DR) is negotiating for more episodes of Dragon Ball Super.

Dragon Ball Super was initially announced as being licensed by DR following the death of series creator Akira Toriyama.
The first 27 episodes made their debut on the DR Ultra streaming app last October with the new Danish dub.
DR Ultra aired a rerun of Dragon Ball Z over a decade prior when they were a linear channel, which was also shown in Danish.
As such the premier of this dub of Dragon Ball Super marks a generational shift in how content is consumed since Dragon Ball Z initially aired in Denmark before the big streaming boom we are currently living in.
If Dragon Ball Super completes it’s run it should be possible in theory more Dragon Ball content will be licensed for Danish dubbing in future.
