Recently it was noted that Odeon Cinemas were bringing the 2013 Dragon Ball Z movie Battle of Gods (originally Kami to Kami) to various theatres across the UK and Ireland.
Now it appears another theatre chain will be bringing the movie to more screens than originally expected.
That theatre chain is Omniplex, and numerous screenings have been announced for cities like Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow and Birmingham but also smaller urban areas like Sutton, Sligo and Newry.
Omniplex’s screenings appear to be dubbed.
The full list of screenings is as follows:
Republic of Ireland : Arklow, Balbriggan, Ballinasloe, Carlow, Cork, Drogheda – Scotch Hall, Dublin – Rathmines, Dundalk, Galway – Salthill, Killarney, Limerick, Longford, Monaghan, Mullingar, Nenagh, Roscommon, Shannon, Sligo, Tralee, Waterford, Wexford
Northern Ireland : Antrim, Armagh, Banbridge, Bangor, Belfast – Dundonald, Belfast – Kennedy Centre, Carrickfergus, Craigavon, Derry, Downpatrick, Dungannon, Larne, Lisburn, Newry, Omagh
Scotland : Glasgow – Clydebank
England : Birmingham – Great Park, High Wycombe, Ipswich, Sunderland, Sutton Surrey, Wigan
This will be the widest release any Dragon Ball Z movie has had in the UK and Ireland and the second widest release in the franchise overall with over 53 locations announced. By comparison, the most recent movie Dragon Ball Super : Super Hero received 111 screenings across both territories.
Nonetheless for a movie being re-released the number of screenings is fantastic news.
