As reported yesterday on Kanzenshuu after well over a decade Dragon Ball Kai has finally been released in the Netherlands on the streaming service GoAnime.
Unfortunately there is a cache, as my source has asked a fan in the Netherlands, and despite GoAnime previously stating their contract included Dutch audio there is no Dutch dub.
As the company also confirmed no English dub that means Dragon Ball Kai is only available in the Netherlands in Japanese with Dutch subs.
Whether a Dutch dub will be released or one of the English dubs of Kai will be added at a later stage remains to be seen.
A release on a streaming platform would certainly be a great way of testing the waters for a home release, especially in the Netherlands case where traditionally they have had English dubs of Dragon Ball, and have thusly been served since 2015 when Manga UK released Dragon Ball Kai on home media for Dutch fans that want the Funimation dub, and even the Yamamoto score for episodes 1-39 (which a separate Dutch release would almost certainly not have).
In any case we will be keeping a close eye on any updates on this mythical Dutch dub and streaming release.
