  • Dragon Ball GT returns to Mangas in France

A few days ago a promo was aired, which confirms the return of Dragon Ball GT to the French TV channel Mangas.

Mangas, which first broadcast Dragon Ball GT in 1997 has aired Dragon Ball content regularly in France for many years but has not aired Dragon Ball GT in 15 years.

Mangas confirmed to a fan that it will be a complete remaster of the French dub with a video source will not be the same as what was seen on ADN or Crunchyroll.

This will be great news for fans as there were episode previews dubbed in French that are considered to be lost as no recordings have survived, but this will be another chance for fans to catch them live.

It has been said that in 2010-2011 the complete uncensored French dub of GT was aired with the next episode previews dubbed in French and the openings and endings left in Japanese.

No start date has been confirmed to our knowledge, but we will keep an eye on such information to be revealed.

  • Luxembourg and Belgium to receive Piece of Magic’s Battle of Gods theatrical run on March 8th

Previously it was reported that Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods would be screened in France, but recently listings have been spotted in other French-speaking territories curiously on the same date.

Luxembourg and Belgium will both be receiving screenings of the movie on March 8, 2025.

Fans in both territories would be familiar with Dragon Ball from the broadcasts on Club RTL and MCM in 1995-1996 and the late 90s respectively.

  • More European territories announced for Piece of Magic Entertainment’s theatrical run of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods

The previously announced screening of Dragon Ball Z movie 14 Battle of Gods has now expanded to various European countries.

Fans on the Kanzenshuu forums such as TheRed259 and sangofe have noted screenings taking place in territories both east and north of the continent.

The first countries to be getting this limited screening of the 2013 movie by TOEI Animation are Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Slovakia on March 1, 2015.

One UK listing has also been spotted for both March 1st and 2nd, 2025.

France will be getting the movie a week after most of these countries on March 8th.

A week after that comes Poland, and although we have been told privately Studio PDK creates Polish subs for the distributor Piece of Magic Entertainment, and have been requesting them to order a dub we have not been able to double source this information, so for now it’s best to take it with a grain of salt.

The final territory for this new theatrical run is Germany, which opens on March 18th with further screenings that weekend on March 22nd and 23rd and includes dub screenings.

This is great news, as many of these countries have never received Battle of Gods in theatres and will provide fans with another chance to catch the first movie of Dragon Ball’s revival era on the big screen.

  • Dragon Ball Z : Battle of Gods to screen in France on March 8, 2025

As we reported previously the Dutch distributor Piece of Magic Entertainment will be screening the 14th Dragon Ball Z movie and first of the revival era Battle of Gods in select European countries.

Now it seems that the movie will be returning to screens in France where it was only shown briefly in the past.

Paris-based media firm AlloCiné have reported Battle of Gods will be returning to French screens on March 8th and 9th 2025.

While the movie did not get a wide theatrical release in France, it was shown on at least two occasions at the Grand Rex, once with sequel Resurrection F, and again with both Resurrection F and Broly.

Dragon Ball has long been a cultural phenomenon in France, and there’s no doubt there will be much excitement for these screenings.
