Brazillian Portuguese dub of Dragon Ball Daima to begin on April 25th

It has been a month to the day that the Latin American Spanish dub of Dragon Ball Daima made its debut on the local version of Adult Swim.

In that time fans in Brazil have had to wait for a dub in Portuguese, but now it turns out the wait is over.

The Brazillian Portuguese dub will premier on Adult Swim this Friday, April the 25th at 6pm.

According to Anime News Network the upcoming dub for Daima will be recorded at Unidub, which was where Dragon Ball Super and all the movies since Battle of Gods have been recorded.

Korean dub of Dragon Ball Daima has begun

Late last year it was revealed that there would be a Korean dub of Dragon Ball Daima.

Now the time has come, Korean fans can enjoy the latest instalment of the long running franchise originally created by the late, great Akira Toriyama.

Today (April 20th) the first two episodes of the new Dragon Ball series aired on Tooniverse between 8pm and 9pm.

It’s worth noting this is not the debut of the show on Tooniverse as the channel did begin airing the show on October 19th last year, albeit in Japanese with subtitles.

Luckily for fans that prefer to watch a show in its original language subtitled airings are still scheduled for 1am on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Moreover the Daima dub features a dubbed version of the OP, which appears to be a rarity for some anime dubs these days. Traditionally English Dragon Ball dubs have had dubbed OPs, but that was not the case for Crunchyroll’s dub of Dragon Ball Daima.

This is one day later than expected, but nonetheless great news considering the long history Dragon Ball has had, especially with dubs in South Korea.

Dragon Ball Daima Korean dub set to begin airing on Tooniverse from April 19th

In December Kanzenshuu veteran wjbraden reported news of a Korean dub of Dragon Ball Daima being set to premier.

The announcement of a Korean dub was made at the AGF 2024 booth, and it appeared that the show was being imported from SMG Holdings rather than Daewon Media who aired the recent original Dragon Ball redub.

Now Tooniverse has revealed a debut date for the Korean dub – April 19th.

This is not the first time Tooniverse has aired Dragon Ball Daima, as the show began its broadcast in October in Japanese with local subtitles, but now Koreans will be able to enjoy the show in their native language.

The AGF (Anime X Game Festival) is a huge event held in December that attracts thousands of fans of not just anime and games but also cartoons, light Nobel and YouTubers.

Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs of Dragon Ball Daima now available on Crunchyroll India in their entirety

Last November Dragon Ball Daima received three dubs in the native languages of India – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

From that point a new episode was released weekly, and now all the episodes are available on Crunchyroll India.

A recent social media post from MRP Network states the following:

Although Cartoon Network India has yet to air the series the channel has been giving fans a chance to catch up on older content.

From March 17th Dragon Ball Super began a rerun weekdays at 9pm, and as of March 23rd fans can catch reruns of Dragon Ball Kai: The Final Chapters Sundays from 1pm.

A promotional image has leaked recently that may hint at Dragon Ball Daima coming to the channel soon with not only dubs in the aforementioned three languages, but also Malayalam and Kannada.

Latin American dub of Dragon Ball Daima begins today on Adult Swim
According to an article from a Latin American site that reports on anime the first 5 episodes of the latest Dragon Ball TV anime – Dragon Ball Daima will be released today on March 21st.

This will not be the first time that locally dubbed episodes of Dragon Ball Daima have been available in Latin America as the article goes on to say that in the last week the first 10 episodes were uploaded to streaming platform Max’s servers.

Today there will be a marathon starting at the following times:
- 9:06am in Mexico
- 12:20pm in Colombia/Peru
- 2:20pm on the pan-regional signal in Argentina and Chile
Repeats will take place at:
- 4:37pm in Mexico
- 7:06pm in Colombia/Peru
- 9:06pm on the pan-regional signal in Argentina and Chile
Further repeats are scheduled for:
- Saturday at 12pm in Colombia/Peru
- Saturday at 2pm on the pan-regional signal in Argentina and Chile
- Saturday at 5:02pm in Mexico
- Saturday at 8:56pm in Colombia/Peru
- Saturday at 10:56pm on the pan-regional signal in Argentina and Chile
- Saturday at 11:58pm in Mexico
Additionally the final repeats will be shown:

Spanish Dragon Ball fans awaiting Daima dub and want Dasara Producciones to continue the job

According to an article from a Spanish Dragon Ball reporter native fans are still awaiting a local dub for the most recent TV anime Dragon Ball Daima.

While fans have been receiving episodes on Anime Box and Crunchyroll every Friday, but Dragon Ball Daima, in their country remains shown in Japanese with Spanish subtitles.

Accordingly, Dasara Producciones with Mercedes Hoyos directing have delighted fans with their dubs of Dragon Ball Super, and more recently Dragon Ball Kai, even pleasing Latin American fans that have traditionally been more critical of the Iberian Spanish dubs.

In January of this year the Latin American Spanish dub was showcased by distributor Corazón Films in Mexican theatres for the press and guests, but in Europe there has been no news.

Fans that reached out were asked would they like Dasara Producciones to dub Dragon Ball Super and why, which received positive responses, as Antonio Sánchez-Migallón Jiménez cites:

Dragon Ball Daima to officially become the first Dragon Ball TV anime released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray
As the final episode of Dragon Ball Daima premiered in Japan yesterday, there was also an announcement for the series first home release worldwide.

While Japanese Dragon Ball fans have been used to the recent TV series like Kai and Super being released in glorious HD the new Dragon Ball Daima anime is receiving even greater treatment with the series becoming the second piece of content in the franchise and the first TV anime to be released on the current premium format 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray.

There is no news as of yet for international home releases, but expect them for territories like North America, Oceania, the UK, France, Germany and other countries which have received a lot of Dragon Ball home releases throughout the past few decades.

First three episodes of Dragon Ball Daima to be screened in Latin America

Just like the North American and Oceanic audiences before them Dragon Ball fans in Latin America will soon be able to experience the new series on the big screen.

The previously revealed Latin American dub of Dragon Ball Daima will be coming to theatres.

According to a report Venezuelan cinema chain Cinex the first three episodes will be getting screenings.

The trailers have featured the return of Laura Torres as Goku.

So far the only confirmed territories are Argentina and Venezuela for January 16th and 23rd respectively, but more may follow, especially if the screenings are successful.

In terms of streaming platforms Latin American fans can catch the latest episodes of Dragon Ball Daima on Crunchyroll and Claro Video, as well as Netflix and Max, although the latter two are a week behind.

Latin American dub of Dragon Ball Daima coming

Latin American fans waiting for a local dub of Dragon Ball Daima may not have much longer to wait.

A Paraguayan Youtuber has broke the news and Richard Brust revealed in a podcast that a dub is coming.

News about a release date has yet to be confirmed, although Adult Swim Latin America has teased that the series may be coming so don’t be surprised if that’s where the series will drop.

With Warner Channel’s Wanimé block coming to an end its looking like Adult Swim is going to become the home for Dragon Ball on traditional TV in Latin America, just as it has in North America for the last 10 years.

Warner Channel’s block Wanimé to cease airing from January 1, 2025 with their final broadcast of Dragon Ball Z

It has been reported that from January 1, 2025 with one final airing of Dragon Ball Z episodes 197 and 198 Warner Channel’s block Wanimé will close down.

This comes 8 months after the block was removed in Brazil, but now it appears the remainder of Latin America will follow.

Various reasons have been cited for the clock’s closure, such as Warner Channel’s parent company WBD already having a definitive home for broadcasting anime with Adult Swim and the third party anime catalog on HBO Max not expanding much this year.

Wanimé, which began on April 11, 2022 replaced the Toonami Powered by Crunchyroll block on the regional Cartoon Network, and has aired not just Dragon Ball Z and its films, but also Dragon Ball Kai and Dragon Ball Super.

It is not known when the new TV anime Dragon Ball Daima will begin broadcasting in Latin America, although Adult Swim has teased it recently, so it may be coming soon.
